Adult ADHD
Step 1: Book the initial appointment
Use the handy booking form below to book your first appointment.
The full assessment consists of two appointments - once you have booked your first appointment using the form below, you will be contacted by our admin team to organise a suitable date and time for the second appointment (this usually takes place several days or a couple of weeks after the first appointment).
There is no additional charge for the second appointment - the price below covers the full two-part assessment.
Step 2: Complete the questionnaires
You will be sent several assessment questionnaires to complete prior to your first appointment.
These will be used to further inform the doctor regarding the issues you are facing and your history.
The questionnaires are straight-forward and can be submitted online through your PC, tablet or phone.
Step 3: The appointments
The Adult ADHD assessment consists of two appointments, both carried out remotely by video call:
First, you will see a Psychologist who will gather further information using gold-standard ADHD testing tools.
Next, you will see a Consultant Psychiatrist for a diagnostic summary appointment. They will confirm any diagnosis and commence treatment, if appropriate.
Step 4: Ongoing Treatment
If medical treatment was started following your assessment, you will require ongoing follow-up review appointments.
The guidelines for these appointments vary depending on treatment type and your response to the treatment, but typically you will be invited to book several additional appointments over the course of the first few months (these are typically 30-minute appointments with a fee of £195).
Most patients move on to a 6-month review schedule once fully stabilised.
Step 5: Shared-Care Agreement with your GP
Once you have stabilised on the treatment, it may be appropriate to pursue a Shared-Care Agreement with your local NHS GP.
This carries several benefits for you as the patient, with the main benefit being reduced-cost meds at the pharmacy (you will no longer be required to pay full-price for private meds, and in some cases it may be free on the NHS, depending on your circumstances).
